Banyule BUG - Ride Grading Definition
A ride grading is included for each ride in the ride program to indicate how an “average” rider is likely to find one or more hills. Rides are graded H1, H2, H3 to indicate the number and gradient of hills on each ride. H1 is the easiest and H3 the hardest.
H1 – rider will be comfortably seated in the saddle, in a moderately low gear.
H2 – rider will be using the “granny gear” or standing on the pedals out of the saddle.
H3 – Some riders will find that they will need to walk their bike part or all the way up the hill.
